Ecological Benefits: seeds feed a variety of birds, mammals browse foliage, attracts pollinators such as honeybees

Seasons of Interest: mid-spring-late spring, early fall-mid fall

Best Areas for Planting: moist, well-drained soils, full sun to part shade

Natural Habitat: can be found in wooded areas
