Ecological Benefits: attracts various pollinators, supports small mammals, birds feed on seeds

Season of Interest: late spring-early summer, early fall

Best Areas for Planting: wet, moist acid soils that are well-drained, full sun-part shade

Natural Habitat: can be commonly found in wet or swampy areas
