Ecological Benefits: attracts various pollinators and is of particular importance to honey bees, supports predatory insects that regulate pest insect species

Bloom period: mid summer-fall

Best Areas for Planting: full sun, part shade, or full shade; low moisture, sandy soils

Natural Habitat: can be found in thin woods and clearings
